How can you contribute?
We are looking for a wide range of contributions that align with the themes of Oud Aalten. For example, consider:
- Historical stories – about village life, family histories, or emigration stories (we focus on developed stories with context rather than complete family trees).
- Photographs and images – of people, events, buildings, or landscapes, preferably including the year and a brief description.
- Culture and traditions – descriptions of customs, festivals, folk tales, and legends.
- Dialect – stories and poems in the Aalten dialect.
- Notable figures – portraits and stories of remarkable residents, administrators, artists, or other well-known figures.
- Buildings and landmarks – information about churches, schools, farms, community centres, houses, and other characteristic locations.
