Oud Aalten is a private initiative and hobby project of Remco Neerhof. It has no commercial purpose, but was born out of an interest in local history – and because many people appreciate it.
This website was built using WordPress, but we are not WordPress experts. We have plenty of ideas to make this website better and more attractive, but we lack the technical skills to realise them. We also encounter issues that could likely be solved easily, but we haven’t managed to do so ourselves. These involve matters such as design, navigation, and site management.
It would be wonderful if someone could and would help us, either once or on an ongoing basis, to take OudAalten.nl to the next level.
Are you, or do you know, someone who knows WordPress inside out? Do you know your way around themes, templates, patterns, blocks, styles, sticky headers, responsive design, and the like? Then please get in touch!
Background information
To keep the management and compatibility of OudAalten.nl as simple and future-proof as possible, we have deliberately chosen the default WordPress theme – currently ‘Twenty Twenty-Five’ – and we do not use a separate page builder. Furthermore, we try to be as independent of external plugins as possible. Since we cannot do without them entirely, we use a select few plugins for essential functionalities.
