In the nineteenth century, Reverend Breukelaar<\/a> had arranged that Sunday schools were established in Aalten. For children in the surrounding districts, the Sunday school was held at someone\u2019s home on a farm, so that the children did not have to travel all the way to the village. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Gradually, the need arose in the rural districts to build a hall or a small Sunday school building for this purpose. A total of nine small Sunday schools were established, of which only a few have survived. Below is an overview, as far as we know. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
