Farmsteads in Heurne

The rural district of Heurne is situated between the village of Aalten to the north and the German border to the south. To avoid confusion with the ‘Dinxperse Heurne’, this district is locally also referred to as the ‘Aaltense Heurne’.

The Aaltense Heurne covers an area of approximately 8 km² and is home to over 500 people. The area is bisected from north to south by the Hamelandroute (N313). This provincial road serves as the link between the Twenteroute and the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
